If you are one of the owners of the first Apple Watch (2015) - also known as Series 0 - and Series 1 (2016), there are some important innovations regarding technical assistance. According to what emerged from a document intercepted by MacRumors, it seems that Apple has blocked repairs for the two models mentioned, proceeding directly to the replacement of the smartwatch with an Apple Watch Series 2 .

The document explicitly mentions only the 42mm variant, while it is not clear what policies are adopted if a 38mm model is presented. The document was distributed by Apple in the United States and other countries, although it is not known in which, and cites as a cause the shortage of replacement components for the Apple Watch Series 0 and Series 1 , which is why it is easier to proceed to replacement of the device with a more recent one, rather than waiting for refueling and therefore prolonging the intervention time.

This policy should take effect from February until April , however it is not certain that Apple will resume repairs even after the deadline. The news can be very interesting for all those who have not updated their device and could take the opportunity to switch from an old Series 0 to a more recent Series 2. Obviously it can also be a negative note for all those who intend to jealously preserve the first wearable from Apple (especially for limited editions), which may not be satisfied to lose it that way.
